We arrived at 3:00PM for the check-in time and there was a long line that goes outside the hotel. Waited for 1 hr to be finally checked-in only to be told that our room wasn't ready. Breakfast is basic. Rooms were clean. Grocery right across so it was very convenient but nothing much nearby.

The rooms are large and we had an incredible view. The breakfast has a tremendous selection of fresh items to choose from. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing that would improve it is a shuttle service to the Airport. An excellent place to stay if you are in transit.

If you go to Holiday inn from AMS central station, just take a free ferry (F2) from the pier outside the station, and have 12 min walk, you may reach the hotel easily. There are 2 supermarkets very near the hotel and close till 10pm. A bar Lolander near the hotel serves delicious food. Better not to request for early checkin, it will incur additional cost for this service.

We have stayed at this property for the last few summers and know what to expect with regards to parking and what is available in the area. On this past trip we stayed for 2 nights, very expensive due to the prices going up due to the Grand Prix being that weekend. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the food was lovely apart from asking for some ketchup and then not being brought any and then the dish my partner had included a nan bread, I had to go to the bar and enquire after it, the staff member when to the kitchen and returned with a brown piece of bread as they had no nans. Not a big issue but they weren't busy at all so am not sure why this happened. It is a lot of money to pay for a meal that they give you a piece of brown bread. The rooms are comfortable and have tea and coffee facilities in the room. A nice stay but not for over £200 a night.

Hotel was very nice and comfortable. Restaurant was good. Staff was fabulous. The o ly complaint was the shower needed a slip map in the shower. It was very slippery.

Although the hotel room was great and the property overall was decent, we did not appreciate how the management staff restricted us from eating or drinking in the lobby seating area or outdoor picnic tables, especially while we had to wait for our room to be ready, which apparently they only allowed for food bought at the hotel. Just a ridiculous policy that is simply not accommodating.

We had a slight misunderstanding at check-in. We asked for connecting rooms, and we got rooms that were connected to another room, but they were not connected to one another. We had to return to reception to fix the issue. We got rooms side by side which was good enough. Breakfast was light but decent. The first couple of days, there wasn’t a good flow for picking up food, dishes and utensils. Everyone just was walking around randomly. The flow got better on our last day. It was at least a 10 to 15 minute walk to the subway station which is easy enough except it may feel long on a hot day. There is a nearby Jumbo food market which was awesome for getting ready made food, especially Indonesian food. There was even a small in store eating area where you can use microwaves to heat up your food and get soft serve ice cream for 1.25 €.

We liked the rooms and the views. Front desk staff was helpful. Breakfast was a nightmare at 9am. Staff was a little overworked but rude to a few guests.
