"Very friendly staff, large comfortable room (king executive room), central location, we used taxi from airport ($30) as we arrived too late for shuttle bus. Hotel decor looks well kept, not old, but colours are drab & lacking warmth & giving it an old fashioned feel, everything in the corridors & the room was brown. A bit of colour would brighten up a stay. It’s saving grace was the large windows. We had a small balcony on 18th floor it was very windy up there.
Rooftop pool was great with fantastic views.
Enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of options. We were particularly grateful to see so many gluten free options at breakfast. Hot drinks weren’t great- hot chocolate very weak & watery & tea also weak ( perhaps water from dispenser wasn’t hot enough to brew a decent cup).
Enjoyed our stay and will return if in Townsville again
