"PROS: Staying in the villa was a very cool experience and the views were amazing. The bed was also very comfortable and the duvet was great. In addition, the staff were attentive and they would pick us up from our villa to reception in a golf cart for free (steep hill but could easily be walked).
CONS: Although we liked the villa, one significant downside was that there wasn’t a proper door on the bathroom (or a roof) meaning that you could hear everything going on in the bathroom in the...
"Great quiet spot north of all the busyness, but walkable 10mins along the beach. Good to escape the burnt backpackers and chill. Sea good for a dip/snorkel. Rooms are large. Happy hour cocktails on beachfront. Sairee beach was not really for me after the chilled vibe of the south but worth it for the amazing sunsets."
"I had a great stay at Thalassa. It’s located on the small walk street along Sairee Beach that has all the shops and restaurants. My room had a fantastic king sized bed parked on a teak wood platform with lots of pillows. There was a choice between 3 breakfasts included with the room - all looked delicious. Nice place at a good price!"
"You can swim off the beach with a snorkel mask and find one of the best reefs including sea turtles, and if you wake up early before the tour groups or are lucky black tip reef sharks too. Area was clean, and pools were gorgeous. Good breakfast but poor layout creating a few traffic jams. Also the amount of stairs or hills you have to walk is too much for some, also expect taxi to charge 400B one way"
"We booked waterfront rooms. The view was great with the sand beach right in front. Comfortable covered patio to hang out on. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Like most places in Thailand could use some minor repairs but nothing that would impact the stay. Staff were wonderful.
Walk along the beach 5 minutes to shops, restaurants and the main pier. Go behind the hotel up a short steep hill takes you to a road with hundreds of shops and restaurants as well as a very long and sandy beach....
"This hotel is in a great area full of restaurants and small shops and walking distance to the beach.
The staff are amazing. Friendly and helpful
The breakfast is off the menu and is very good.
Stayed 4 nights and would stay here again"
