"My friend and I first time in Los Angeles. We found the hotel through Expedia. I’m so glad to choose this place. Michael so friendly and helpful. Housekeeping also nice when I asked for water and toilet paper. They have cafe at the corner and really convenient. We have been using an Uber, Lyft to go around town, a bit pricey but if you like the locals buses you could save money for other things. Overall Hollywood Historic Hotel has been a great place for us. "

A historic hotel gives guests a chance to stay in a place that’s been recognised with an official historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world have had many former lives and uses, such as castles, stately homes, palaces or even pubs, lodges, old police stations or skyscrapers — any building that’s been identified as being of special interest. These types of hotels in Los Angeles often retain original characteristics like traditional architecture and period features in their communal spaces or guestrooms.

The two are similar. “Historic hotel” is more commonly used in the U.S., whereas “heritage hotel” is common in Asia and Europe. Yes. Every effort is made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, but interiors include modern conveniences and safety features. In Los Angeles, booking a historic hotel doesn’t mean you’re picking a place that’s rundown.
