The location and staff were excellent at this hotel. It was just what we needed for a NYC stay given we spent most of our time out of the hotel. Loved that it had a microwave, fridge, and coffee/tea maker. Only critique is that the hot water was unreliable on the weekend, but otherwise it was a great stay.

We checked out of this hotel a day early because our experience was so terrible, it was better to leave than spend another night in this hotel. How is this a ‘Hilton”? There were two large, ominous and disgusting stains on the carpet in front of the bed, the comforter had multiple old blood stains as well as a rip in the center, the television didn’t pick up a signal half the time, and the air conditioner sounded like a hailstorm on a metal roof. And those were just the immediately obvious issues found from being in the room a couple of minutes. When I immediately went back downstairs to inquire about changing rooms, I was told “all of the air conditioners sound like that” and there was no willingness to help us with a different room. Facing the reality of staying there for a night, I went back up to the room and realized later when I wanted to take a shower, there was no shower curtain. Had to ask twice to get one. Took a full day to receive it and when it arrived, there was no liner, only a flimsy piece of fabric that didn’t do much to keep water in the shower. One of the two towels provided was ripped a good twelve inches along the side, which was just laughable at that point. Looked like a prop out of a horror movie. We came up with a really good plausible story of what may have happened in our room and are working up a true crime podcast we are hoping to put out later this year. Until then and forever after, avoid this “hotel” at all costs.

The location was great and the staff were friendly and responsive. The room was clean. We were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go -- the Whitney Museum, Greenwich Village, theater, etc. There was a hot water problem on our last day that only affected us at breakfast - continental breakfast only.
