"The hotel is beautifully decorated, nice and clean, but the staff could be nicer. The dining service was not very welcoming of separating our checks as we were traveling with a large group of students that needed to pay for themselves. Our request was met with an eye roll and a sigh."

"There was no at the reception desk. The property manager accused me of lying about my kids because there were 2 single beds joined but we were 3 people. My daughter had to sleep in the middle of the 2 beds . The pillows were uncomfortable . There was 1roll of toilet paper. I had to go buy my own. ..."

So much to see and do and so much history tio see in the immediate area but very busy for more of a relax I went to Cefalù and Mondello.

Had been there 30 years ago when things weren’t great for Palermo. Thoroughly enjoyed this visit, by contrast. Great vibe. Good restaurants, willing to innovate and plenty to see.

Palermo is not a Paris, London, Florence etc. It’s a city with substantial history and it’s location allowed us to do multiple day trips to learn more about its rich culture. Research before going as it won’t satisfy all
