"Walking distance to Old Phuket Town if you can handle the heat! The area was somewhat safe besides one homeless man who seemed a little dangerous to walk past to get to Old Town. Hint, he stayed inside an abandoned building and typically minded his own business until he wandered onto the sidewalk occasionally. The staff at the counter were a bit confusing when explaining a 2,000 baht deposit that had to be paid up front, so just be prepared. We got the 2,000 baht back once we checked out. The...

"There was a problem for 3 days of my stay and it sounded like i was sleeping inside a subway station - screeching metal on metal in random occurrences all day and night. "If you are looking for a vintage stay then Quip is right for you. Me and my wife enjoyed staying in Quip. Little Noisy at night because of live music but it wasn't problem for us. "The room was generally clean but the window blinds and lamps could use dusting off. The bathroom had a fan but no air conditioning and stayed very hot unless we either opened the door to the room. Also a mild sewer smell emits in the bathroom. Street noise (cars and market place) can be heard up to the 4th floor (ours). Be warned, No elevator! We were only there for a couple of nights to experience Sunday night market. Good food but also crazy crowded. Our reservation was made in September but...

"Awesome accommodation for our single night in Phuket Town, at the end of our holiday prior to heading to the airport. Super location right in the middle of the action, loads of food and drink options nearby. The building is beautiful inside and out, the little pool is great to cool off and the staff were fantastic throughout, especially with our little boy. Also organised us a shuttle to the airport. Would love to stay here again."

"Enjoyable, stay just outside of Phuket old town. Was very quiet when we went there. Staff were very helpful but took awhile to clean rooms. Breakfast was not very good and chose not to pay for that service. Small swimming pool, but quiet and had it all to ourselves which was really enjoyable. AC in the rooms, but had a bright light so struggled to sleep."

"We were a family of four with 2 ocean rooms next to each other and had a great stay here. The rooms were large with a huge bed which could be split to make twin beds. A little on the hard side but they put a thin quilt on top to make it softer from the second day. I would say the rooms were dated somewhat and are in need of a refurb but to be honest everything is in the right place and with so much space and the view you forget about the old furniture and bathroom. The pools were great and clean with plenty of loungers available. Bar staff, drinks and food were good - what I would have liked is for the staff to be walking around rather than having always to go to the bar but we were ok with this. The beach is on your doorstep which we loved, very clean and beautiful with security staff on hand at the hotel entrances. The only 2 negatives were that check-in felt rushed and our room at 6.45pm was not ready for about 15 mins. Also the buffet restaurant was not great quality food, breakfast here was not the best with limited veggie options and slow refils. Just fyi we used 'Grab' taxis rather than those from the hotel - these were cheaper but we had to catch them up the road as the hotel / local drivers did not like the grab taxis. Overall an excellent stay but some little things could be improved. "
