"The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. The main house dates from the early 18th century, with thick granite walls, and has been wonderfully restored with all modern comfort (including good wifi!). "This is a nice property in a very old building. As a result, it is not luxurious, but certainly adequate for a short stay. The living room and bed are in the same open area, fine for two people. The kitchen is adequate with a 4 burner stove, full refrigerator, washing machine, microwave. It is a short walk from the cathedral and everything else in the old town. I would recommend this property."

"Lovely room, bright, airy and modern. Very nicely decorated and everything you'd expect in a 3 star hotel and right in the centre of the old town. Reception lady (Patricia) was particularly helpful and pleasant, ensuring you knew where to go, what to see and how to get there, offering to book restaurants for us and recommending places. "We stayed as a treat at the end of the camino de santiago - we were welcomed, shown to our room and able to book at the restaurant for dinner. The half board option allows you to book at either restaurant (reis being the traditional one) and order a starter, main and desert (drinks not included). Breakfast too was a feast with slots for when to go so it wasnt crowded. Brilliant location, understated and such an experience to stay in Spains oldest hotel! "
