Great price and staff are lovely. Place is run down and needs a good deep clean. VERY noisy. Beside hospital so we heard sirens all night long.

Check in and out was easy, the rooms are very small and ours had a VERY bad smell. Thankfully the windows did open, however the room overlooked a roof from the building beside it, so no view. There was an apartment building beside that and there was a very strange person who stood by the window all of the time staring at the hotel windows so we had to keep the blinds down at all times. The bed was not comfortable and the linen and covers just ok. The location was good and when we were going out for dinner they offered us umbrellas because it was raining hard which was kind. I don’t want to sound like a snob but I don’t think I would stay there again.

The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. Three eateries entries are within the hotel lobby so super convenient. Comfortable beds. This is an older building so expect dated functions. The room was clean and again, the staff could mot have been nicer! I would stay again.

The hotel is old but renovated. The bed had a very firm mattress that I found comfortable but the sheets were rather stiff. The room was small and poorly soundproofed. There was a lot of traffic noise in the daytime but after 10 PM it was not a problem. Electrical outlets were sparse and the TV was small and limited to typical cable stations i.e. not a smart TV. Cleanliness was adequate. There was a bit of mildew in the bathroom grout but it was not terrible. The was also some dust in the corners. I lived in downtown Vancouver for five years. The hotel is in a neighbourhood that I would consider safe but a bit downtrodden. It is within walking distance is the business district, hospital, harbour (w/o luggage, don't try to schlep bags to a cruise ship from here). By Vancouver standards, Moda is fairly priced for what it is.

The property is an older one but has been kept in very good shape. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was convenient to sightseeing.

It is an older building along with the rooms, but everything was clean and friendly staff. Bed did make some creaking noises and sheets were noisy, but comfortable. Is it worth the full price per night, debatable, but worth it if a wicked discount came up.
