"This cottage was absolutely perfect for my husband and me. It is so convenient - easy walking distance from the beach and the stores. We were able to go Yooperlite hunting until the wee hours of the morning, then make the short walk back to a warm, comfortable bed. We also really enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evenings after a day of hiking around Sable Falls. We wish we could have stayed longer!"

"We had a great stay at the Big Red house. It was very clean and welcoming. We traveled with 3 young children and it’s a child friendly house with toys for them to play with and a big yard to run around. The location is perfect with only being a block from downtown and close to the beach. Highly recommend staying here! "

"My family stays in the U.P. every summer. We love rock hounding and the peace and quiet in the U.P. This was the first time that we had stayed in Grand marais. The house was very clean and quiet. "Served its purpose for location, nothing special. Communication before booking and after is nonexistent. We have tried to make arrangement's last year, this year and next year for our annual trip to Grand Marais and we get no response via email, voicemail or text. "We had a set of 4 friends and went sxs riding. This location was great, plenty of room for everyone, 2 bathrooms were a plus, big kitchen with plenty of seating. Plenty of parking for all vehicles/trailers. We were gone from 9am to almost 8pm daily. we didn’t have time to enjoy the outdoor fire pit or other amenities on property. We hope to return for another visot in the near future. This was a typical UP north VRBO with old home charm for GREAT old town. Host was excellent. "
