"Lovely location, very spacious property with amazing spaces. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Beds comfortable. bathrooms good. Great bonus as it wasn’t exactly “flaming June” was the snooker table, especially for the youngsters , there were many challenging matches! Outside facilities were great but because of the weather not uses apart from table tennis and basketball net. Plenty to see and do only a short drive away."

"A lovely 3 night Stay in Hay on Wye. The cottage is stunning and so well located for browsing the shops, the sights and the castle and perfect to pop back and forth if needed. Very central but also very peaceful. Communication from Sue was amazing and she was really accommodating and generous throughout our stay. I would book here again in a heartbeat."

"Much nicer than the photos! Beautifully clean and cozy! Very well equipped, everything and more than you would need, washer with dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Comfy beds, beautiful linens, plenty of thick towels, nice tiled bathroom. One of the nicest cottages we’ve ever rented. They even put up a little Xmas tree for us! "

"Roy was an exceptional host, he was very informative about how to get to the property as the sat nav was a little bit unreliable. He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. "We enjoyed our stay here in a very confirtable cottage tucked away in the countryside. The beds were particularly comfortable. The hosts communicated well and we really enjoyed tge free range eggs they left us from their chickens. Plenty of birds and very dark so great for stars if it is clear."

"We had to change our booking - a long story but Sally at front desk was helpful in making sure everything was sorted. It's a shame we had to check out a day earlier than planned as our first night there was excellent - I slept brilliantly. "The room I stayed in in this beautiful building was possibly one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. However when it came to the service of the staff there was a lot left to be desired... and this was in no means the fault of the staff of which there were only two... to run the bar and service the needs of the guests. I did feel that it was odd that every time I called the hotel before arriving that there was never anyone manning the phone, but regardless we were not put off. If I was to visit again, I would want to know that I wouldn't have to wait at an empty bar for 12 minutes before being served (I know the 2 staff, one of which was a trainee) were busy with the dining but at £270 a night, that isn't good enough and not my problem... I don't wish to seem petty but lots of other short comings occurred like being first into the dining hall and one of last to have our order taken, waiting until the end of our starter before our drinks arrived and taking far too long to reseat us when my wife couldn't read the menu because of the dim light. I get that there was only two staff and there were 10 couples in the dining room but this is a failing from a managerial point of view which I definitely didn't expect from such a seemingly highbrow establishment. "
