"Fantastic little cottage and the attention to details was great!!! The owners supplied milk, coffee, tea and chocolate chip muffins which were very much welcomed after a long drive. Location was brilliant and very close to Alton Towers (5 mins drive) and the suggested walks around the area were very relaxing. All in all we had a fantastic and relaxing time staying in this cottage. Definitely will be back and recommend to family and friends."

"Beautiful Property with excellent facilities within the cottage. Great parking & access on arrival & departure. Unforunatley, the premises weren’t as Dog Friendly as first thought when booking the holiday. There was nowhere to exercise the dogs off lead, in fact there was no where on the premises dogs were allowed, apart from inside the cottage. The enclosed garden was not enclosed & dogs were not allowed, there were signs everywhere stating NO DOGS ALLOWED. On reading the information pack - we...

"We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."

"Really lovely cottage, set in complete seclusion down a long winding road in Thorpe. Wonderfully presented and well placed for walks and days out etc in the south peaks and Staffordshire. There is a cluster fly problem which is a bit troublesome as we couldn’t open the kitchen window. I am not sure if this was seasonal. Only a small (but annoying) matter though in the grand scheme of things as the cottage is otherwise lovely. "

"Cottage was easy to find and the instructions to get the keys from the key box were easy to understand. The village is a quiet rural community, up a steep hill from the local pub with no other facilities but it's a short drive into Ashbourne. The property is nicely decorated throughout with all mod cons. The bathroom is as good as it looks in the pictures. A shame that there is no garden and minimal roadside parking."

"If we could pick this lovely cottage up and take it home we would. Second time staying here and loved it just as much. Everything sparkles and it has everything you need. Shame about the wet weather but wasn’t too much of a problem as it meant we stayed in and chilled."
