"We absolutely loved staying in the Captain's Cabin. Bourton on the Water is in a great location for day trips, but we had to pull ourselves away from this adorable and bustling little village. Location of the Captain's Cabin is quiet and peaceful, but just a two minute walk to all that Bourton on the Water has to offer! We loved ending our days cuddling up by the fire and had the best sleep in the charming and comfortable bedroom. "

"We stayed for 5 nights - Pros: very pleasant contact with host several times, very comfy beds, clean crisp linens, very nice fully equipped kitchen, wonderful water pressure/hot & cold water, surprise welcoming gift of white wine, crackers & the most delicious local Brie. Cons: no closets to hang closet only a bar on wall with 3-4 hangers, need one more fan due to no air conditioning. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay and would definitely recommend this property. "Lovely traditional Cotswolds cottage in a great location, just a few minutes walk up the hill from the middle of Bibury. Very tastefully refurbished & styled cottage with field walks directly opposite (as well as the handy pub!!). Super location for other Cotswolds villages and towns eg: Burford) and highly recommended village pubs for meals and country pints!! The host was attentive and lovely - which also is really appreciated by us."

"The cottage was absolutely perfect for our party of 12 & our host mrs joyce was absolutely lovley. Check in & out was very easy and the property itself very easy to find even though its out in the beautiful countryside . The cottage was spacious and clean & we were all adequately accomodated the children were happy playing in the games room & the pool the house is ideal for a relaxing get-away every one really enjoyed thier stay we will definitely book again. "Everything was as expected it was cosy and convenient, near several pubs and shops and just a half hour bus ride into Oxford. We also used it as a base for Bicester, the British Motor Museum and the Aston Heritage trust! So much to see in Oxford and surrounds and this is a great place to stay! Very good value for money "

It was the PERFECT place to explore several Cotswolds villages, and we especially loved walking 2 minutes into Bourton-on-the -Water every morning and evening. "Well appointed, smart property. Very comfortable. Slightly confused by reference to a "key box" for entry, but the key box was only for the use of the cleaner, and guests had an electronic entry. Owner put us right at once. Lovely private outdoor seating area at the back with large table. Comfy beds, good bedrooms. Slightly disconcerted by the internal window on the downstairs loo, and no lock. Suggest a curtain across the window would be good."

"I liked the bedroom with mini fridge tea/coffee making items. I liked the large shower and the fact it was quiet and warm. I didnt like small cups i think mugs would be better. The extractor fan in bathroom didnt work, there is a little mold around the shower tray. The bathroom floor needs grouting in parts. The garden is a big eyesore full of weeds etc not useable for anyone staying. The whole property was spotlessly clean. I had no english tea bags in my room but found some in the kitchen...
