"The host is wonderful! A few fresh fruits, snacks and waters welcomed up when we checked in. She was so prompt on getting back to us quickly. The property is up on a hill and we got many opportunities to sit out back enjoying the volcano view. The property has its own private gate to pull car in at night. I can't say enough about the view!"

Watching the sunset from one of the many outdoor spaces is breathtaking! Plenty of opportunities to bird watch. Both Maria and David were incredibly helpful and their coffee grown on the property is fabulous. "

"Casa 5 is possibly the best situated house in Buena Vista. It was relatively private and had a nice lake view. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms had ample drawer space as well as plenty of hangers. The space was open and comfortable."

The best part was waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and other wild life and having chef prepared breakfast :) Some reviews did mention the bugs: you're in nature; it's expected and you get used to it and they do have pest control. No AC, but they provided fans and it was comfortable. Place is MUCH larger than the pictures. Highly recommend hiring James to cook for you!! We had him prepare breakfast daily! He's amazing and it makes getting started...

"The property is good floor plan and located with the view of the lake. There are two excellent restaurants about a three minute drive. The nearby town of Tilaran Is everything you would need. It is still rainy season which encourages you to get out early and be back by mid afternoon to enjoy the tropical rain. We would certainly consider using this location again"

"Beautiful property. We were there during a heat wave. The only AC is the attic room with 1 twin and 2 futon beds. It is a duplex, but it is huge. The garage is communal, but you have your own washer and dryer."

"We were a family of four and throughly enjoyed our three days here. Such a lovely place with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is close to town and various sites and activities, but also up the hillside enough to be peaceful and restful. Our host, Evelyn, was so great to deal with. Thank you for such a lovely and comfortable base to explore the Monteverde area."
