"Superb stay at these lovely, quiet apartments. Everything you need for a relaxing break. Swimming pool was amazingly clean, plenty of sun beds, and most days had it all to ourselves. Fantastic beach 10 minutes walk away, mini market close by, and a good few restaurants.

"The rooms were not equipped , seriously how can you not have bottled water in the fridge when it’s 38 degree Celsius outside for your guest on arrival , tea and coffee facility was zero no coffee no tea bags .. we where on our honeymoon, we requested a double bed and got two single beds , I speak Greek and of course it was the ole I don’t care attitude and yes you have a lovely room ! NOT THE CASE … the property is dated old and the rooms need a major facelift as do does the service.."
"We well enjoyed our stay at Hotel Kourkoumelata. The owner greeted us as we arrived and helped us arrange a rental car. The room was tidy and aircon was on when we arrived making the room nice and cool (it was very hot outside). Staff were very friendly. The owner went above and beyond organising for our laundry to be cleaned and even giving us an impromptu driving lesson. For a two star accomodation I was very happy with our stay and experience. "

"Fantastic hotel with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Minor issues with the room on arrival. We had gone for a suite and were offered a garden room with sincere apologies. We found the garden room more than acceptable and were happy with the overall experience."
"Our family had a great experience for 7 nights at Avithos resort. super close to the airport (9 minute), excellent location! Room has a fully furnished kitchen and a welcoming balcony! pool area is super well maintained and has enough chairs for all guests! Food is amazing and super tasty (until 9 pm only). Beautiful views and sunsets! kristina helped us reserve a private boat to Zakynthos and is super knowledgeable! Hotel is close to two beaches, small markets, 15 min to a bigger grocery store!! Absolutely recommend it!!!"

"Pros: -Great pool, bar, and plenty lounge seating-Nice views with balconies -Place hang your clothes to dry -Good location if you rent a car -The host was accomodating with requests and communication -Bakery, restaurant and grocery store are right up the block-There is a beach near by as well-Air conditioning was strong and worked well-Parking was super easy and right next to the propertyCons:-Housekeeping kept turning the AC off during the day so it was hot coming back in the room. -The shower drain was overflowing a bit to the floor -The bed was definitely a hard matress (he did provide extra blankets to make it softer to sleep on)-No elevators (not good for a disable person or eldery if they cannot walk up stairs well) fine for a young person, however. Overall, this is a nice, cheap place to stay at. Do not expect anything, but definitely gets the job done of staying in a clean place with a nice pool for vacation. "

"Overall we had a great holiday but in a sense it was in spite of the apartment. There was no greeting on arrival … we wondered around not knowing where to register - with some bawdy comments from another resident. The first night the apartment smelled intensely of smoke…and it was very damp and smelly under the sink such that I told George, the ineffective manager, that I wanted a refund and we would leave and find somewhere else. George suggested we could move to another apartment (nobody had complained before, he said) - and the alternative was much better, although it turned out it’s a/c didn’t work… so George provided an elderly fan which was remarkably effective and cheered us up. So we resolved to stay - and once the loud-mouthed group had diminished and finally left, we enjoyed the facilities of the pool and curious bar (run by George). We had hired a car at the airport and toured the island during our stay - but were always pleased to be staying in the lovation"
"Great time at Helena’s Studios, a brilliant base for touring Kefalonia by car. It’s a fairly rustic place but perfect for travellers on a budget, with a pool and self catering facilities if you need them. Only 10 minutes by car from the airport with a handful of bars and restaurants within walking distance. We wanted somewhere with a pool. There’s also a small bar and food takeaway and the staff are lovely and helpful."
"We booked a room (for 1 day) at the end of our holiday, just to store our cases and get changed for the beach before our late flight that evening. When we arrived there was no reception, only WhatsApp messages with the manager. He said our room would be ready soon, so we waited. And waited. In the baking heat. After a restaurant visit it was ready and a dingy, depressing room greeted us (& not particularly clean, with hairs on the floor). The towels smelt bad, not that we were planning on showering there. The manager then told us the cleaner had said she’d seen more than 2 people going in the room, and that it was only booked for 2. I explained that our children are only going in there to change for the beach and we’re leaving at 8pm for our flight. He was annoyed about that and said he could’ve charged us extra. It put a sour note on our last day & I would not recommend staying there. "
