"Motor racing themed budget hotel on the main street of this spa town. Seems family-run. Very friendly pleasant staff. Room is a little worn but large and comfortable. I couldn't drink the large complimentary bottle of Contrex water which had a sulphorous tinge. Contrexeville is nothing special except the spa which I didn't visit. Not far from the upper Moselle which is pretty and has a great bike path. Excellent indoor bicycle storage. "

"The room I'm we were given was adjacent to the kitchen. Basically, that room should be decommissioned. They were banging away till 11:30 pm making it impossible to rest. Also, the condition of room was pretty dismal. It just felt worn and the bed was so low, it was practically on the floor. A hidden gem on the country side

"Marie Jo is an excellent host, fresh baked bread, handmade jams and farm eggs, what a treat! A peaceful place to stay just o the side of Saint Elophe old church a gem full of hiking routes 10 minutes from Joan of Arc’s birthplace and museum and an excellent gourmet restaurant Le Bois Chenu, chef Vincent D. Affordable prices and great view of the valley, we enjoyed a lot our experience and our host advices and hospitality, a place to come back by sure!"
