WALK THROUGH THE HOME WITH US
The property has two driveways to access the house. Walk through the recently landscaped front garden from the top driveway which is also great access for the elderly or walk up the timber sleeper steps to access the front door from the bottom driveway. If you're arriving at night, the garden sensor lights will help show you the way. Once you have walked in the front door you will be on the main level of this home. With recent renovations being completed in 2024, you will notice the freshly painted walls and recently sanded floors. Turn to the right and you will find yourself in the living area or turn left to head downstairs. Heading right, this living area has a Smart TV, where you can tune into your streaming services or make use of the DVD player and flick through some classic DVDs which you will find in the TV cabinet. There is a touch lamp in the corner for those who want to do a bit of reading. A split system air conditioner helps keep the area cool or cosy. When entering the main living area you can take a sharp left through to the first Bedroom. This bedroom has a queen bed and a built-in robe - which is where you will find a portable heater. From bedroom one, you can access the main bathroom through the door at the end of the room. The main bathroom has a shower, bath and vanity, as well as a separate toilet.
The living room flows through to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen and appliances are brand new as of 2024. The kitchen features sleek corian bench tops and a view over the Painkalac Creek. You will notice there are some little treats left for you on the bench, this is a little thank you from the owners.
The kitchen faces the Dining Area which hosts a large dining table that seats ten people, perfect for entertaining the whole family. Four bar stools sit along the kitchen bench where you can keep the cook company and enjoy breakfast. Take in the views of Lorne’s landscape including the Ocean, Painkalac Creek, and the Otway forest. To keep things cosy and warm in winter there is a fireplace for you to use at the end of the room, with plenty of firewood stocked in the courtyard.
A sliding door provides access to the back balcony, which serves as an outdoor living space. Stepping through the door, you can turn right to find a charming table and chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee surrounded by trees and birdlife. Alternatively, turning left will lead you to the main BBQ area, an outdoor dining table, a sun lounge, and an umbrella—ideal for entertaining guests outdoors.
The Laundry is well-equipped for short or long stays. Equipped with a 10kg washing machine, clothes dryer, cleaning products and other appliances for you to use during your stay. There is a door that takes you outside to the side enclosed yard.
Off the dining area, there is access to bedroom two, the study and the main bedroom + ensuite. Bedroom two has two single beds and a built-in robe. The study is a shared area, this space has a TV and a sofa bed that folds out to a double bed. Blankets and pillows for this bed are located in the built-in robe in bedroom two. The study can be closed off by doors to the dining room and other bedrooms, but please note that this room is a thoroughfare to bedrooms two and three.
Walking through to bedroom three, this is the main bedroom of the house. You will find a queen bed, a built-in robe with sensor lighting. The ensuite is a new addition, which consists of a walk-in shower, vanity with mirrored cabinets, and toilet. The Main Bedroom also features views across Lorne. There is a split system AC for you to use here and there is a spare blanket in the robe if needed. There is also a sliding door that will allow you to walk out onto the back balcony.
Jumping back to the front entry way of the house, take the stairs down to the lower level. Down here you will find a table tennis table, with seating on either side, a door that will take you outside to the lower driveway, and the last bedroom of the property. Bedroom 4 has a set of bunks, a lounge area with a couch and TV as well as an ensuite which has a shower and toilet. There is also a built-in robe - which has another portable heater for you to use.
In the courtyard you will see a wood stack and also two medium-sized dog kennels if you bring your furry friends. To the left you will find the garbage bins and also the spare BBQ. If you head towards the back of the courtyard, there is a small gate to get into the large open grassed area - ideal for the kids to run around on, but note this area is not fenced. Making your way around the backyard to the front of the lower house, there is another shady and quiet area for you to sit and have a cuppa. Also if you're needing to rinse off after the beach, a handy outdoor shower is available to you.
As Beach Road is steep, we would recommend always heading down the hill when leaving the property.
Guest Access:
To gain access to the property, guests will need to come and collect the keys from our Aireys Inlet office. Located at 4/75 Great Ocean Road, Aireys Inlet, 3231. We are located next to the mini golf. You will have access to the entire property during your stay. If you will be arriving late at night we can also arrange a key drop off.
The Neighborhood:
The property is located on Beach Road in Aireys Inlet. Beach Road is a very central location, which allows you to access everything in Aireys Inlet via walking. If you are feeling adventurous you could walk to Sandy Gully beach which is approximately 1.1km away. Close by you can dine out at our local favourites A La Grecque, Le Comptoir and the Aireys Pub. You can also grab some breaky or lunch at Mr T & Me, Le Comptoir and pick up some staple grocery items from the General Store, all of which are within a 500m walk.
Enjoy the nearby family friendly activities such as the Great Ocean Road Mini Golf, Aireys Inlet SkatePark and Playground, the Bark Hut reserve and of course you could take the Eco Logic Split Point Lighthouse Tour and climb to the top of the famous Round the Twist lighthouse. There are some great beaches to explore in Aireys and of course Painkalac Creek if you're wanting to paddle board, kayak or fish.
Getting Around:
We would recommend bringing a vehicle as if you need to do a substantial grocery shop or to shop for particular ingredients you might need to visit the neighbouring towns Anglesea and Lorne where you can shop at an IGA or Foodworks. However, once you have settled into the property with all your goods, walking or riding a bike around town would be our choice!
