We had an unexpected power outage at our home during a recent storm and needed a place to stay last minute. Thankfully, we found the Holiday Inn Express—and even more thankfully, we were helped by Dawn at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding during a stressful situation. Dawn made sure we were taken care of and found us a comfortable room quickly. The room was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed. I stayed in room 316, and it smelled a lot of cigarette smoke and also in the hallway, I had a severe headache due to the strong smell.

I liked the relative quiet. The only noises were when folks were loud in the hallway and the walmart big rigs' backup beepers drolled on in the wee hours of the morning. The staff were all personable and followed through on requests in a timely fashion. There was no eye rolling, or attitudes and nothing ever seemed a bother or nuisance to them. I saw them exhibit way more patience with several people who were obviously trying to get one over on the hotel, but they calmy and professionally listened then clearly stated why they had to follow the rules and deny their demands. I learned a couple pointers about customer service from observing them.
