"The stay at Lachens was sort of like a dream. The view from the balcony overlooking the mountains is so pretty. We are city folks so for us it was a couple of days to be able to dis connect and be in tune with the nature. Imlil is a serious trekking town but we are not hard core trekkers. "We loved the idea of staying in the mountains however, the property did not mention vital information like; there is no transport facilities at all, you have to hire a taxi through their tour company which charges 80€ each way to airport/Marrakesh. "Situated in the foothills of The High Atlas Mountains, with stunning views towards the snow capped Mountains beyond the wonderful manicured lawns and gardens. The hotel is built of local red sandstone and is beautifully laid out. Pool too cold in Jan but looks fabulous. Food on our visit was relatively limited choice; we stayed 1 nightwith a 40 minute drive from Marrakech (local hotel transfer 270 DAM each way) Incredibly beautiful setting - wonderful rest in the warm January sunshine. "

Very pleasant, while aging a little.

"We couldn’t have felt more welcome. The hotel is out in the sticks, so you need transport to get around. The hotel is very helpful with arrangements, although it can get expensive. The Anima Gardens a 10 minute ride away, was worth visiting. The hotel is aging a little, but is very quaint and a good place to relax. It has solar as its primary power source, which tends to run low later on at night. That means that power and lights went out for us, which was interesting, but not too much of a hardship. The staff made it a truly good experience, so well done to them all."

Relaxing stay in Moroccan countryside

"Nice place, very relaxing, idyllic location, next to the river. We were there in low season, so regretfully the restaurant and swimming pool were closed and there wasn't much to do, but the hotel is lovely and run by very nice people. Rooms are adequate and clean, could do with some basic coffee making equipment and the hot water situation for the shower was not always clear, but otherwise we had a nice stay"

"Beautiful room and pool. Easy walk to lake and village. Staff very friendly and willing to help but we would have appreciated some details in the room about organisational issues eg that water would not be replaced in the room but was readily available at the bar. Would definitely recommend hotel for a quiet, restful break."

"We had the most amazing stay at Les Jardines. The photos online don’t do this place justice. It’s a beautiful haven of tranquility set in a spectacular landscape with the call to prayer reasoning down the valley. We highly recommend a break here. On top of this the people were so kind and generous - we had a very special time that imprinted morroco in our hearts! Thank you. "
