"The Kasa of Skowhegan is an excellent place to get away. The main floor is complete virtual desk love it. Yes they are working on the upstairs three floors for apartments and Studios for leasing. "Very nice home in the woods. We really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen with cooking necessities. When we didn’t cook we enjoyed the Landing and China Lake Provisions. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the water as it was full of algae and the water seemed low so it would’ve been difficult to get into the kayaks without wading into the water. If you would like to enjoy them I would pack some good water shoes. The beds were quite squeaky so any movement disturbed others in the room and a very hot week made it hard to sleep comfortably. There is an A/C unit on the first floor but the cool air had trouble coming upstairs. We did appreciate that the owner did provide multiple fans. If you’re looking to get away to a quiet non-touristy Maine location this cabin is perfect."

"What a wonderful setting and place, just a little walk through a summer meadow from the rail trail and river, and a short walk or bike ride into Belfast. Jon's cottage (he built it!) is perfect - airy, comfortable and well equipped. We saw multiple eagles, a variety of songbirds, a loon and more. A perfect getaway any time of the year, and a lovely base to take in all the beauty of Maine."
