"The Palace itself is fantastic, very historic and picturesque, this includes reception, the gardens, restaurant, common areas. The rooms are good: modern, neat, nothing flashy or eccentric but clean and with plenty of natural light. Overall good experience, quite unique. Public transportation won't work well though, but for us this wasn't an issue as we had a car and we could drive to Faro for shopping or dining options (20 minutes) and approximately the same drive time to Tavira. "

"We have been visiting Tavira for many years and have always stayed at Hotel Vila Gale. The hotel is extremely convenient to the centre. A great little cafe over the road and lovely local supermarkets nearby. The hotel is clean the breakfast plentiful and the staff very attentive. "

"Really lovely hotel in a great location, with gorgeous pool area. Service was fantastic for check in, breakfast and rooftop bar. Breakfast buffet was also excellent. We stayed in a standard room which was a little bit dated but it was perfectly clean and a decent size. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Staff were very nice and helpful. We booked it late at night for that same night after check out hours as we didn’t see even though it was clearly written. We showed up and check in was closed but we called the number and a very nice gentleman answered sleepy (it was at midnight) and was very helpful and helped us get the keys even though he didn’t have to. Breakfast was great with such a big variety. We had unexpected drains issue (clogged drain from the shower) room flooded a bit but staff were very helpful and solved the problem asap. Very pleasant stay and very pleasant staff! Need a car to go to the beach or downtown but very good and big store is close by (you can walk) hut definitely worth it! Recommend it for sure"
