My room 139 was very clean Except for the underside of the wall mounted shower seat, which was filthy. The food wasn’t great. My husband ordered pie and mash but received pie and chips. The pie was very dry and a bit tasteless. My cheese on toast was ok. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice. I had booked a disabled executive room, but executive rooms are upstairs!...

"The wonderful lady that greeted us was friendly and had a good sense of humour. She showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean. We had dinner which she also cooked and breakfast again cooked by this true asset to the pub. A pleasant stay for a wedding just a short walk away. Was it the Ritz?
