Everything was okay the front desk staff was EXCELLENT!! All the ladies were very nice and welcoming. However toilet was broke and made noise ALL NIGHT!! Especially when you flushed it, and the shower water pressure wasn't very good at all. Outside of that it was a fair experience

Best Stay By Far!

We were here for 3 days for church and will say that this was the cleanist hotel we have stayed at in the last 10 years coming to Alexandria! I usually bring cleaning products with us to clean our room once we check in and to my surprise when i cleaned the floors they were actually CLEAN! The staff was very friendly and professional as well!

Nice place.

Nice room, very comfortable. My only dissatisfaction with this chain is that they don't offer a breakfast. That's the main reason I rarely stay at Candlewood. If the hotel next to them (where I regularly stay) had not been full I would have stayed there. It's a nice property, though.

Not the best

The front desk people were very nice. However, our toilet did not flush, the room had a terrible smell and we didn't realize it was in a very unsafe area for females traveling alone. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you were not leaving the hotel. Unfortunately no one addressed the toilet situation, but we only stayed one night.

My family and I were in town for a softball tournament. Upon initial check-in we were given our room key. We open the door to the room and there were paint cans and other materials everywhere. I called the front desk and she was ever accommodating by placing us in another room. The room was clean for the most part. However, the curtains had dark stains on them, the light fixtures in the bathroom were rusted, and there was a bug on one of the beds. Not an awful hotel, but I won’t be staying at this location again.

The service is great. The building is old, despite upgrades. Our room remained so moist it curled the cover of a paperback book. We had two roaches (or water bugs). We asked housekeeping to come in and do a thorough cleaning because we still had two days left. They offered to move us upstairs but we had already stayed there several days and it was inconvenient to move.

Originally had our room of a 1 BR mixed up and not available had us in a 2 queen room. Talked front desk & they had no 1 BR available. Was going to cancel but decided to wait & see if they did anything next day. They rearranged their reservations the next day & moved us to the room we had reserved. Anyone can make a mistake, it is how it is corrected that counts and they corrected their error. Great front desk staff. Many restaurants nearby.
