We enjoyed the location and views very much. The layout with the kitchen and dining in the basement was not the best. I’m sure it would be great for younger families. The relaxing area inside was a little cramped for multiple people to watch a movie on those rainy days. The fishing was great, the views spectacular and we did enjoy our stay.

Relaxation at Lake Mary Cottage
We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the Lake Mary Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and provided us with a relaxing and restful week of beauty, water, the changing color of fall leaves, and even the Northern Lights. Rocky was fantastic to work with and took care of everything. The evening campfires and gorgeous views, both inside and out, were amazing!

Such a beautiful place!! Lake is just steps away from the door which is amazing! They have everything you can possibly need available in their cabin!! Wish we could have stayed longer but will DEFINITELY be back soon!! Highly recommend for a fun cozy vacation!!

This property is exactly as shown in pictures. Quite cozy and nicely decorated. A beautiful view of the lake from the upper TV room or back deck. Communication with the property owner was perfect. I think we will be back to this little treasure.

FABULOUS! Great swimming and beach!
An amazing place to fill your soul with joy and great memories. Pretty home, and nice sandy beach and clear shallow water. Great for kids of all ages. Beds were comfortable and large dining table fit us all. Rocky was awesome to work with and very prompt in responding to anything we needed. Well stocked home and kitchen. Gorgeous window views! Close to town was nice for short errands.

Best summer getaway for the girls
This property was amazing. If I could rate it a 10/5 I would. Driving in I was not expecting much but wow I was taken aback. Definitely a hidden gem for sure. The views are stunning inside and out. The décor was nice clean and modern but cozy at the same time. There’s 3 beds but all the couches ARE PULL OUT COUCHES so that’s enough for 6 people to sleep without sharing beds! 2 of the pull out couches were in the sun room. The most stunning room because once you wake up all you see is the lake and it feels like you’re in a beach house and when the sun sets you can see every color of the sky. You need or want something in this cabin?? They got it. Like??? A paddle boat? Hello? The girls and I spent most of the time outside because how can you not? The lake is literally the backyard. Perfect place to tan, grill, paddle board and enjoy a cocktail by the fire while the sun sets. And the neighbors were so sweet for offering us fire wood! The only downside is that there was a lot of bugs that flew into the house or on the patio but that’s normal when you’re not in the city like that. Would I book this place again? Yes. We really started the summer off right with booking this place for a girls trip! It was amazing and we really loved the stay!

2022 Winter Fishing Trip
This was a very neat and clean property. Very sufficient amenities for kitchen and bathrooms, and bedrooms were very spacious. Only constructive criticism was the access from the driveway to the house during our winter stay. During our stay, there was only a narrow path right along the west side of the garage, which was extremely icy, and became tricky in carrying coolers and other bigger items to the house. We do understand this can be challenging with ever-changing weather conditions in Minnesota. Thanks very much.

Fantastic Lake Getaway
We stayed here the third week of June and had a great, relaxing time at the cabin. My wife, kids, and my wife's parents all stayed here and never felt too crowded. My kids loved the sandy beach, they would go out to play as soon as they got up in their pajamas. The deck overlooking the lake was a great place to relax and get some sun. The fishing was good too, we headed out every morning. There were only a couple of drawbacks. The Alexandria area is currently in a drought, so the level of the lake is down compared to where it usually is. This meant my father-in-law couldn't dock his boat at the cabin since it was too shallow. We had to drive about a mile to the public boat dock every time we wanted to take the boat out. This is not the fault of the property owner, but it would have been nice to dock the boat at the cabin. And in fact, the owner had someone come out and measure the dock to see about adding more length to get into deeper water. The second was having to launder all of the towels we used when we checked out. This is not something we were used to with other Vrbo properties, usually we just have to have our used linens and towels collected for the property owner/manager to clean when they prepare the property for the next client. Those were just two minor inconveniences, the rest of our vacation was wonderful. The cabin is very clean and updated, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

We stayed during the coldest part of winter, the cabin was warm and cozy, but it was too cold for anything outside. We can’t wait to come back in the summer when we can enjoy the lake!

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. Lake Mary is gorgeous and the kids enjoyed the sandy beach. We wish the beautiful sand extended into the water (it was pretty mucky with weeds, rocks and sticks), but there’s a nice sandy spot a couple hundred yards east of the cabin where the swimming was wonderful. We all - from an infant to grandparents - enjoyed our time here very much! There is something for everyone from fishing and campfires to shopping downtown and swimming!

Fun in the sun
Good location for us to travel to and a five minute drive to Alexandria to get supplies we forgot. Beach was great for the young kids. The bottom of lake In front of house is rocky and you need water shoes. We went down the lake about five houses where we saw people with pontoons anchored and found a wonderful sandy bottom. House was clean and tastefully decorated. Guys were able to caught fish and kids loved tubing.

Great location and sandy beach
House worked well for family with children under two. Fire ring was great! Spent many nights there. Only thing is there needs to be a longer dock if you have a boat you wish to dock at the cabin. Very shallow which is great for kids but not for boats . Loved the upstairs reading/ TV room. The views of the lake we're awesome.
