"We had a great two night stay at the grand Astoria hotel. The staff were excellent parking our car and bringing all our luggage to the room while we went to the pool as we were early. The staff was over the top helpful at all times. It was in a great location to walk to the beach which the hotel looked after getting us our spot. All of the great restaurants and shops were right around the corner. We would definitely stay here again. "

"I rarely give a poor rating like this. But we were so disappointed in the hotel. We probably had the worst room in the hotel. It was on the top floor and the air conditioning just didn’t work. "The hotel itself is nice, the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Parking was very difficult, since their garage was full. They could have informed us that there was a public garage about 100 meters from the hotel, so we didn’t need to struggle to find a spot on the busy surrounding streets. The room was ok and clean but very small. It is possible to walk to the city centre but it is a relatively long walk - about 40 minutes - and involves lots of steps."
