"It was perfection! The most picturesque view! Kids (5 & 6 yrs) were able to easily walk down stairs to the beach and then catch the shuttle bus back up to the room. Lovely market next door (with the kindest staff) meant we could cook for the kids, get them to bed early and enjoy a bottle of wine and antipasto patter on the balcony in the evenings to soak up every minute with that view. Mauro and the housekeeping staff at Palazzo Margherita were so kind, helpful and hospitable. Worth the splurge...

"We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay here, up in the mountains with a fabulous view over Vesuvius. Both bedrooms had air con and we had use of a pool shared between 3 apartments. Although the apartment is dated, it had every we needed. Vincenzo made us feel very welcome and he lives in the apartment block so help is always on hand. There are shops and restaurants in the little town which is a short drive. There is a fabulous restaurant within walking distance. It was a great base to explore the...

Buses are very limited, walking is not a real option, vans really expensive and driving might be dangerous. Food at the town was really expensive "
