Shack Style Comfort
Quaint little cottage style offering blend in surroundings, cosy and not to lush. Users should not expect hotel style stay. Ideal retreat for those who just want to eat in, relax ,sleep after a big day sight seeing.

A glorious setting at American River
A quirky house with the Oyster Shop across the road. We were in heaven!! the walks are wonderful taking in all the bird life and beauty. Lots of driving to access all the wonders of KI. very meditative as no traffic!!!

Good location. Nice little place. Not enough seats to sit in the lounge comfortably for 3 adults. BBQ need to be cleaned, crockery needs to be sorted for chipped items.

Great accommodation for family
All practical needs are available. Ideal for family with no more than 2 children with a toddler (playpen available). I have an 11-year old and 2 adult children. There's no space for the 11-yr old to sleep in but with the parents. You also need to buy groceries beforehand. No nearby shop to buy groceries. Overall this is a great accomodation.

Great little place to come back to each evening after our long days working across the island doing bird surveys. Confidently located behind oyster shack. Fully equipped. Don't miss out on the local Thai dinner on Thursday nights!

Great retro cottage,very clean, and central for everything
Has lots of character , was very clean and comfortable. Handy for all sightseeing.Lovely outdoors areas, and settings. Loved sitting out on the front setting listening to the the birds, having a wine. Watching out for the blue wren that often came to visit. A very short walk to the oyster shop, natural and cooked oysters eat in or take away, Not to be missed. Other seafood available. All amenities are there in cottage. Comfy beds. Only regret, should have taken my own frypan and saucepan as ones there, were pitted. Having said that it did have everything else. I would certainly stay there again. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Thankyou for the great experience.
