We arrived in the city by train. It was a 10 minute walk with to the rental. A message was sent that we were on our way, a reply said to ring the door bell on our arrival. We were cheerfully greeted and welcomed in.
Although it was not fully clear in the description, I believed this was a owner shared rental. There is a common area (hallway) for entrance/exit and I only passed the host one time in this area.
From the hallway there are two bedrooms each have their own lock. Two other rooms, one is a shower and one toilet. The hall area has a small refrigerator, microwave, cups, plates, and utensils. It all fits with a nice layout without feeling cramped.
Each bedroom had a bottle of water with glasses, shelves for clothing, small fan, and great view of the water. There is no TV, but if your in Amsterdam I hope your not staying in your room!
Small details matter when you want to feel comfortable. Pleasing decor, seating by the window, a space to enjoy your holiday/vacation. There is a sheet with some personal local favorite spots to check out as well. All of them that were tried were excellent!
This unit is waking distance to anything you want to do in Amsterdam. Restaurants, history, shopping, exploring, there is so much to do, and it is all so close.
I also enjoyed reading the guest log from years of happy visitors. Although my experience was perfect, I did have to wonder why some pages were torn from the guest log.
I highly recommend this unit and Roy the host.
