A Home Away From Home
We loved this home! The host thought of everything from the comfy pillows everywhere to the tourism pamphlets to the air freshener to the waters and snacks. We fell in love the moment we entered the home. The home was spotless and well decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Susan communicated well and this home is one you want to stay in. Our family has decided that we will return!! It is more beautiful than the pictures!!!

Exactly What We Were Looking For
Though our visit was short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bingham House. The home was clean, cozy, and inviting, with charming decor throughout, and the neighborhood was quiet. The front porch swing was a bonus! The hosts knew we might be arriving later in the evening, so they left a few lights on for us, as well as some snacks & water bottles - so thoughtful. We will definitely try to stay there again.

The best VRBO ever!
Oh, my goodness - our bungalow in Appomattox was the most pleasing VRBO we have ever rented! Charming to the max, spotlessly clean, comfortable, inviting, well-furnished, relaxing, and restful. Every detail was tended to. It was the kind of place that makes one want to stay much longer. Particularly nice were the rocking chairs and swing on the front porch...idyllic. Perfect for our morning cups of coffee. Our host, Susan, was wonderful from the get-go, and responded very quickly to my inquiry about a good place to eat breakfast. Five stars aren't enough for this one; this house (and its host) should get 50!

Great weekend.
We had a great weekend at the Bingham House! My best friend and has relaxing time playing guitars and watching movies. Plus enjoying local history. The home was most comfortable! Susan was a fantastic host. Lots of little amenities like coffee, snacks and bottled water were waiting for us. I can absolutely recommend a stay here. It’s a beautiful, comfortable home.

Beautiful 1922 house
This place is wonderful!! The house is beautiful and so well decorated. Visited Appomattox for a Mother-Daughter trip with my girls. We loved each having our own bedroom. The owners had snacks and plenty of beverage choices (water, coffees and teas). Comfortable beds, and everything was very clean. If ever in the area again, this will be where we stay. Great location on quiet street. Very close to the Appomattox Courthouse and about an hour and half away from Monticello.

Quiet, Lovely, Autumn Setting
I am always looking for Unique Places to stay and this fit the Bill-Older Home brought back memories of a gentler less Hectic time-Porch Swing with the 4 year-old. Luckily we had nice weather and the trees were beautiful, Appomattox has so much History and it was a pleasure exploring the area. I would love to come back and if this House is Available I would not Hesitate in requesting it

Beautiful Stay in Appomattox
This house was amazing. The picture did not do it justice. The neighborhood was nice as well and walking distance to a few restaurants and the Appomattox court house. All the fixtures and decor were beautiful. The porch swing was great too. We would definitely stay again if we are ever back up in VA. We would definitely recommend this beautiful house to stay in anytime you are in the area.

A beautiful historic home...
We loved our brief stay in the Bingham House, which has been tastefully and comfortably restored, while retaining the beauty and character of the original home. Fantastic location on a quiet street, with a lovely front porch to enjoy, and a short drive from the national historical park. We were just passing through this time, but hope to return someday to take in more of what Appomattox has to offer. Thank you!

Charming and cozy!
We loved staying here! The home is so warm and cozy, a plush blanket on every bed and every couch! The beds were very comfortable! The sofa was also very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and hearing the church bells ring! The layout of the kitchen is not very functional for living, but it worked for staying a little while. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! We wish we could have stayed longer!

A highlight of our road trip
If you are anywhere near Appomattox, you have to stay here. Tom and Susan's gem of a home strikes the rare balance of classic, old-world charm with all the modern conveniences. Plenty of room for our family of 4, great location in the historic district, walking distance from quaint restaurants, shopping, civil war history and so much more. So glad we stayed here!
