"This house is well taken care of. We stayed for 5 days. Weather wasn’t the best but still enjoyed fishing from the pier. The house is clean and very comfortable. We would recommend it to anyone. Definitely would like to go back. "

"The home accommodates large families but is more like a fisherman’s paradise in regards to sleeping quarters. There are three private bedrooms downstairs and there is an huge upstairs bedroom that has beds for about maybe 12 people or more. Great for family reunions where you can put all the kids upstairs. Only problem is there is no restroom upstairs and only an outside entrance—no indoor staircase. So if you gotta tinkle at night—you gotta use the outdoor staircase and come into the main house. Other than that it’s a great place for large families. The back garage has a pool table, large bar, tv, ping pong-super nice but can use some remodeling. It was cold in there and there wasn’t a portable heater. We made the best of it and could all hang out and play games. I think overall I give the place a four out of five—just because it was comfy and all the family could be together. That’s what’s more important for me than luxury. So think of the place as a hunting/fishing no-nonsense place where you can lay your head. But the entire extended family can be under one roof. Oh—the house sits on probably an acre so plenty of parking and a super nice fire pit. Lots of wildlife—deer—roaming around that you can feed. The place could also use some nicer bedspreads! I did leave a couple things behind and tried to reach the owner but he never got back with me. Disappointing but it was the thanksgiving weekend so I’m guessing he was busy with his family. "

"Needs some chairs inside to sit. Had to go to the porch if you wanted to eat or sit in a chair. Water pressure varied from time to time. Clean. Screened in porch nice. Well used but did the job. Served its purpose well--a place to eat and sleep and relax."

"The owners are exceptionally kind and communicate wonderfully. They take excellent care of the property and have clearly put a lot of thought into the decor, creating a welcoming and comfortable space. It’s perfect for a group of friends and would also suit a small family. The kitchen is well-stocked with real dishes, along with convenient options like paper plates, utensils, and paper towels. The beds are incredible—this was the first vacation home or hotel where I woke up completely free of back pain.And that is coming from someone who is actively awaiting spinal surgery. The location is fantastic, just minutes from Goose Island for fishing off the pier, and there’s a 7-11 conveniently down the street. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and agreed this house stands out among all the others we’ve rented in the area—it’s truly the best."
