Well equipped place to stay on a quiet, scenic street
I was in the area for work. The house was well equipped for my stay. It was clean and check in was easy. I would stay there again.

Airy retreat in the forest
It's a quiet cabin in the forest. You can see the green trees all around you. Cabin has many windows so it feels airy, and every window gives you a view of the trees at different angles, and that's exactly what we were looking for. It's a quiet neighborhood, with the sounds (and occasional visit through the property) of turkeys. For us living in Bay Area, this nature retreat was a beautiful getaway.

Filthy
You are asked to leave your shoes outside, yet the floors were filthy. We all had black feet and socks within minutes. The floors had not been cleaned in months, if not longer. I contacted Vacasa and someone offered to mop the floors while we were out or drop off a mop and cleaner. I opted for the drop off because our dog was crated when we were out. The water from the mop was black. Vacasa is lucky I cannot post photos. There were no instructions for anything in the cabin, including the washer/dryer combo. We ran out of clean socks because we had not planned on needing to wear them in the cabin. The wash/dry cycle did not completely dry the clothes and I spent 40 minutes reading various manuals online to find how to run just a dry cycle but was unsuccessful. I brought our clothes home damp. Since we had no dry socks, we left a day early. It is very disappointing to spend so much money to rent a cabin to not enjoy the stay and have to leave early. The Vacasa team was relatively responsive by text. I also called and spoke to someone who said they were waiting on photos from me, which I already sent twice before by text. This was the first time we stayed in a rental managed by Vacasa and it will be our last. No one wants to go on vacation and have to deep clean. I received a response that I will be credited $120.96 of my cleaning fee within 5-7 days. I hope the owner of this cabin reads these reviews. I would be ashamed to have people in my home if it was this filthy.

Just what I needed
Life has been so chaotic lately I needed a getaway so I planned a trip to the mountains and booked this cabin and let me just say it is exactly what I needed. Peace and quite, beautiful scenery, fresh air, all of it. My partner and I greatly enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for having us! ❤️

Lovely A-frame cabin!
This is a great cabin close to the Big Trees market. There are two decks- one in front and one in back- for relaxing or eating. If you plan to cook at home, bring all your own condiments/spices as they only supply pepper and salt. BBQ is a tiny table top that hasn't been cleaned in a WHILE so be careful with that.

Wonderful cabin retreat!
We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The place is perfect for a family and the kids (3 & 7) loved the loft area. Kitchen is well equipped, though some dishes were dirty - a quick cycle through the dishwasher fixed that though. Easy check in, lots to do in the area. There's been an addition of a real bear rug since the pictures were taken, and heads up there is extremely limited AT&T reception. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay overall!

Cute mountain A frame
Loved the layout and decorating, especially the beautiful kitchen cabinets and retro appliances. Perfect for two people, but will easily accommodate more. Some important things to be aware of, first and foremost, the wall furnace is grossly undersized for the application. It was 45 degrees in the cabin when we arrived, and were only able to get it up to 55 degrees five hours later when we went to bed. By the next morning it was finally up to 70 degrees. There is a beautiful wood burning stove that would certainly help, but plan on bringing your own firewood and kindling. Also, the electric water heater in the basement is very prone to tripping it's integrated circuit breaker. In three nights we had to reset it two times. It was not a big deal for us, but we could see where some people may not be comfortable doing this. We were unable to locate any basic spices and seasonings in the kitchen, so plan on bringing at least salt and pepper. Overall though, we thought this unit was a good value.

Pet friendly but…
We vacay with our dogs often and all of the properties we have stayed at up to this point had a vacuum cleaner for us to use. This one did not have one. Fortunately our stay was just for the weekend so not too bad. I am used to vacuuming daily to keep the dog hair to a minimum. Also not a good property if you have elderly with you. The stairs are a bit steep. I have a bad knee and was challenging. Overall, great cabin.
