Welcome to the Sugar Pine Chalet, a cozy, recently renovated A-frame cabin nestled in the alpine forest just outside the quaint mountain town of Arnold. Come and enjoy the fresh mountain air, the smell of pine trees, and stunning scenery just a few hours from the busy Bay Area.
The space
The first level boasts an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. The living room features a comfy seating area, a wood-burning stove, and a TV with streaming access. Two bedrooms and one full bathroom are located on the main level, and the other bedroom and full bathroom is in the loft. The loft also offers a cozy seating area and workstation facing the pine trees seen through the large chalet windows.
The kitchen comes stocked with cooking essentials for your group. Outside, we have a propane grill and additional seating under an umbrella for shade.
Here a just a few of the amenities we offer during your stay to make traveling convenient and fun:
* Very speedy wifi
* A charming wood fireplace
* Modern air conditioning and heating
* Cabin games
* Cozy blankets and throws
* S’more roasting sticks
* Snowshoes
* Beach Towels
* 6 portable outdoor chairs for the lake
* Pack n Play (upon request)
A weekend in the woods is the place to be, regardless of the season.
* Come in the winter for skiing/snowboarding at Bear Valley Ski Resort or sledding and cross-country skiing straight from the cabin. There is nothing cozier than sipping hot chocolate and watching the snow fall through the large chalet windows.
* Summer fun include miles of hiking trails just steps from the cabin, golfing, wine-tasting in Murphys, kayaking and swimming in the nearby alpine lakes.
* Shoulder seasons are highly underrated, in our opinion. The weather is perfectly temperate, making it ideal for hiking, seeing the dogwood trees in bloom as well as experiencing the vibrant fall colors of the Sierra.
