Arundel Cottage is a quaint and charming 18th Century Holiday home with two good size bedrooms, two bathrooms and secluded patio.
This dog-friendly cottage is just a few meters from Arundel's fabulous High Street and wonderful walking along the banks of the River Arun or up into glorious Arundel Park and the South Downs.
The cottage was formerly a Public House and once owned by a notorious local smuggler during the late 1700's. It retains lots of its original charm and history. The front door opens directly into the living room which has a cosy electric woodburner to sit around on a cold winter’s day but guests will also love the bright feel of the kitchen and dining room which leads out onto the patio at the back of the house.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but they are not allowed on the furniture, upstairs or to be left unattended at the property. There is a charge of £27.50 per dog for stays up to 7 days and £27.50 for each subsequent week. Please be aware that the cottage is suitable for small and medium size dogs but too small for larger breeds.
There is no private parking but there is limited free parking directly outside the cottage or along Mill Road past the castle. Guests can also use Swan Yard car park which is just around the corner from the cottage.
Arundel is a favourite with guests who come each year to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and one of the country’s most prestigious horse racing meetings – Glorious Goodwood. Nearby attractions include Arundel Castle, Arundel Cathedral, Petworth House, Fishbourne Palace, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the glorious sandy beaches of the Witterings as well as more local stony beaches stretching from Littlehampton to Chichester.
