The room was very comfortable, and cleaned spotlessly every day.
The breakfast was varied and tasty and it was a delight to sit out enjoying eating it in the peaceful and beautiful gardens.
The staff couldnt have been more helpful and were always smilling.
We stayed there for 2 weeks except for 4 days climbing Mount Meru. I'd recomend that too, but that wasnt quite as relaxing as my stay here.
Thanks to everybody for a super memorable stay. I will be back for sure.

Staff was very friendly and efficient. They offered every service to make our stay comfortable. The AC of our room was broken, staff, make sure to give us a fan and also an alternate room.
Of all of the hotels I have stayed at across several countries over the past two months, this hotel was the best value. The service was as helpful and friendly as you could ask for. Service is a little slow in the restaurant, but good service and food quality.
Very good service...they pay attention to detail and help whenever they can. Clean and comfortable. Everything done with a smile. SANTE saba

Great hotel, awesome service, smiles all around. Only drawback was sparsity of hot water and water pressure in the shower. Be patient at the restaurant, food is great, service is awesome, but it takes a bit of time to get your food. Pôlé Pôlé.

Service and Resturant are good. The owners have forgotten to maintain the property. Stayed twice. Both rooms have broken tiles, drain problems, water taps are all broken. Windows don’t close properly. Sewer smells coming from drains. Broken spring in mates stick out. Need a construction man around to fix things.
We stayed at the Charity Hotel for a night and then left to go on safari. The hotel kept our luggage that we didn't need on the safari, which was very convenient. Upon our return, we stayed two more nights to relax from five days of safari. Having a restaurant on site was SO nice. We could just walk downstairs and didn't have to worry about finding a place to eat in Arusha. We upgraded our room on the last two nights and had a very nice suite. After spending several nights in a tent on the safari, it was nice to be able to spread out! The staff, both at the front desk and restaurant, were very friendly and accommodating. The garden area is beautiful! It's like an oasis in Arusha! As a matter of fact, it's so lovely that there was a wedding held there one night. My only suggestion is to have a better system for guests to pay by credit card. Their machine wasn't working, which forced us to pay by cash. Fortunately, we had enough, but as a potential guest, that is something to be aware of. That said, I think the Charity Hotel is the best option for staying in Arusha!
Our trio shared a room upon our arrival in Arusha one night before heading to Zanzibar then again for one night before climbing Kilimanjaro. They held our luggage for us for free while we were galavanting around East Africa. The included breakfast was great and the driver we used to go shopping was very friendly and helpful. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our silly questions and patient when we didn't understand how to get the lights, fan and water heater going. Loved it!

Restaurant open until late, which was excellent. Nice food.
The hotel has its own private courtyard which is very peaceful compared to the street.
Room was a bit worn down. Mosquito nets had some holes in them.
AC was in working condition, which was excellent.
There was hot water, pressure was mediocre.
Reception clerk was helpful.
Some of the staff was not very friendly. This is the kitchen staff. The others tried real hard but the restaurant staff wasn’t helping them either. The girl that attends our room was very sweet so I tipped her extra.

The positives are that the location is peaceful, the garden is spectacular. The rooms are a reasonable size, and the staff are friendly and willing to help. The negatives are that its in a run down area, you must take transport to town. The rooms need updating, and corridors can be noisy. (Tiled floors) I came back here after my safari, so overall I liked it.

Began well, with unfortunate ending...
We were visiting Arusha to learn about a friends mission to school age girls and stayed at Charity Hotel. Pricing was very reasonable.
The food was good the first night, but progressively got worse towards the end of our stay.
We checked out to go on safari, stored our bags in the managers office and made new reservations for after the safari ... upon our return we found they sold our rooms.
To correct the wrong, they put us in rooms that smelled like the exterminator had just sprayed the rooms... awful.
The Charity Hotel is simply great value for the price. The biggest feat is its amazing garden, which is perfect for hanging out all day, or even working home office in the nature (the WiFi doesn't reach all corners, though). The air here is also much cleaner than in the city centre.
The rooms are clean and spacious, African standard plus. The downstairs rooms are rather dark and there's some moisture hanging in the bathroom, so trying to negotiate an upstairs room is advisable, though.
The street the hotel is in looks a bit dodgy, but is generally safe to walk, also after dark. The restaurant of this hotel doesn't sell beer or any other alcohol, but there's a local unmarked pub just 50m to the left on the street.
Arusha city centre is about 25 minutes walk away, but if you don't like walking, you can hail a Rikshaw from the main road and haggle a reasonable price. If you let the hotel order a taxi for you, you'll probably end up paying too much for the drive.

The staff at the property were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The à la carte menu is highly recommended, and the breakfast was decent with a good selection. While the property is not within walking distance of nearby restaurants or markets, taxis were always readily available to take us wherever we needed to go. The garden is beautiful and provides a very pleasant atmosphere.

Skam jer.
