OUR STAY AT ASCAIN
We stayed here because of the 4/ 5 star rating reviews , for us it did not stand up to portrayed as that. The veranda is very nice , but the bedrooms and bathroom has no natural light. Sophie and Denis are very nice hosts , and will help you in any way they can . The village of ASCAIN is very good for numerous walks , and you have a good choice of bars and restaurants , which is 5mins by car , and the coast is not too far away. The goats and chicken are lovely

We are coming back!
We highly recommend! My Husband and I enjoyed this property so much, we extended our stay by a week and we can't wait to come back. As animal lovers, we enjoyed time with the goats and chickens, especially feeding them. Denis and Sophie are very welcoming and great hosts, we felt like we were visiting friends. Ascain is now one of our favorite small towns!

OK so there was some traffic noise but from inside the apartment you heard nothing and it really did not disturb. A lovely place and wonderful owners who couldnt do enough to make our stay perfect. Will definitely be going back. Thank you so much

En arrivant, tout semble conforme à l'annonce qui semble-t-il avait été rédigée pour prévenir des éventuelles deceptions. Sauf que .... des déceptions il y en a malgré tout, essentiellement dues à l'attitude des propriétaires et à leur manque de savoir vivre. Des visites de futurs acquéreurs de la maison, d'agents immobiliers (7 ou 8 personnes) sans délai de prévenance qui nous poussent à sortir pour laisser libre les lieux : 4 fois en 3 semaines... À la tondeuse que l'on passe sous notre nez, au moment de la sieste. Aux fenêtres des chambres des propriétaires qui donnent immédiatement sur la terrasse "privative " À une demande de nous garer à 100m de la maison alors que 3 places de parking sont disponibles au pied de la maison À un abattage/élagage d'arbres très bruyant qui a généré de la poussière et de la nuisance sonore sur plusieurs jours Bref, nous sommes partis aujourd'hui, avons payé le ménage et le propriétaire ose nous appeler pour nous dire que le ménage lui a pris plus de temps que prevu. Leur projet de vente les accapare totalement et leur fait oublier le bien bien-être de leurs "locataires" comme ils les appellent. Ils ne sont pas en mesure d'être de bons hôtes à l'heure actuelle

Bien situé pour decouvrir la region, propriétaire sympathique, cependant le gîte est très décevant, problème d'humidité, odeur de moisi (le temps humide ne pouvant à lui seul expliqué cela), salle de bain fermée par un rideau, manque cruel de luminosité (cela est spécifié dans l'annonce mais c'est très très sombre), confort très moyen d'une façon generale.

Logement conforme à l'annonce, au calme. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques. Dommage pour nous que le train de la Rhune soit en travaux, nous ne pouvons que revenir dans cette région. St Jean de Luz n'est pas loin, nous avons fait une belle balade en longeant la plage et en faisant les rues piétonnes. Ascain est très sympa aussi avec son pont romain. Je conseille vivement.
