This wonderful woodland cottage sits secluded on acres of ancient rhododendron, laurel, and majestic trees. The Stoney Brook Cottage is VRBO's largest rental on a stream in Brevard.

The 1960's cottage sits next to a brisk stream that tumbles down the mountainside where it has cut its path for centuries. View the mountain fauna along the stream from the covered deck as you picnic in the forest canopy. You can also retreat to the screened porch out back to sip coffee as the song birds enjoy the first rays of sunshine. Cottage does have stairs and is not recommended for the elderly.

The Stoney Brook Cottage is located only six miles from DuPont State Forest with it's incredible waterfalls and over 80 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails and also only six miles from the Pisgah National Forest where you will find the Davidson River which boast more trophy trout per mile than any other stream in the country as well as tubing and Sliding Rock!

Oh yes, the cottage has WiFi high speed internet. There is also a hot tub overlooking the stream, a gas fireplace, a game room with foosball, darts, board games, and cable TV in the living room and in the family room. Over 1600 square feet of heated living space provides you with a king bedroom with walk-in closet and another queen bedroom, two full baths, living room, fully-equipped kitchen, large game room with TV, couch, loveseat & rollaway bed, and full laundry.

When the day is through and you have hiked the National Forests and its waterfalls, you can retreat to your private cottage and still be in the middle of nature's beauty. It is everything you are looking for... Entrance to the cottage is on the lower level which has a bedroom, full bath, family room, laundry room and covered deck with the hot tub. Upstairs is the Living Room, master bedroom, another full bath, kitchen, covered deck and a screened porch. We're sure you will enjoy this cottage for generations to come!
