The most important positive was how warm the room was considering it was almost freezing outside. It was a pity the advertised log burner didn’t have any logs for us to use as this would have been a lovely touch as well."

"This is a great little find! Accommodation is at the rear of the pub, so would not get disturbed by people leaving pub. I was in room 4, great size, with a sofa in room with a desk and chair. "The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful. The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match. We are looking forward to our next stay."
