"The Artisan is so much more tyan i expected. The doors can be a little sricky, its an old hotel after all. Ours would not open at all, so they moved us to a Suite due to the difficulty. Since this was for my partners Birthday, the young man at the check in desk gace us a bottle of wine to celebrate. The bed was comfortable and the black out curtains are just that, Black out. No light will bother. We plan to stay here the next time we are in Deland "

"Bright and airy property. Everything was clean and the beds were comfy. The bathroom connects to the master on one side and to the hallway where the 2nd bedroom is on the other side. Fyi, You need to be very tall to turn on the lights for the fire pit, even with a step stool we couldn't reach it and had to call a friend. They had comfy BBQ chairs ready to use and we enjoyed some smores. There were a lot of bugs near the front door, so better to keep porch light off. Easy check in & checkout, host was helpful and responsive. The entire area has little cell reception so plan ahead. "

"Old School Florida ! Just what we were looking for. Rooms are simple, clean and descent. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Grounds are well kept..Some remodeling/Roof replacement was going on but this did not disturb us. Overall we would recommend it."
