"Nicely updated older property. I checked in after the staff had left for the day, so I didn't interact with any. Great Norwegian/Scandi restaurant downstairs. Would stay again."

Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is in the process of a renovation, it's obvious the new owners are making needed improvements.
Had a great stay, so enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Promenade and beach - always something to see during the Summer. Beds were clean and comfortable. Having a kitchenette was very convenient and it was a very spacious room. Fantastic to hear the waves at night and watch the bonfires. The hotel location is fabulous for Seaside.
Negatives: Noise - lots of families with young kids. The walls and floors don't muffle active kids from jumping around. The pool was heavily used, so I passed on that. The glass wall on the balcony was distractingly dirty, I cleaned it a few times myself since the seagulls seemed to target it during our stay. Finally, the room had a air freshener/ grandma scent to it which I noticed too often. It's an old hotel that has a lot of great features and is being fixed up.

"Family with kids and two small dogs. Outside of building could use some work but room was great and clean. Staff we interacted with were friendly and helped us when needing extra towels and had a clogged toilet. Have stayed 3 times to as a more affordable place to stay when visiting Seaside and Cannon Beach. "
"Loved the location. Ocean or river your choice within 10 minute drive. The restaurant next door (Buoy 9 restaurant & lounge) has very good clam chowder and if you get lucky and score the salmon special, you won't forget it. Check-in very easy and straight forward and DO NOT forget to pet Luna! Very well behaved golden retriever that will come and calmly ask for some petting. There is also a coffee trailer in the parking lot with great coffee and breakfast snacks. If I had a complaint it would be no air conditioning. But, with the windows open and the fan going (provided) it was comfortable. Would use them again if I'm in the area. "
"This was obviously an older property, but it was in excellent condition in every way. Even while we were there they were painting the exterior. The staff was friendly. The views of the river were unmatched!"
