Disliked: Staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Not on par with the other luxury 4-5 star hotels in Egypt. Staff barely spoke English. Never could or perhaps would answer my questions. They should have answers to basic tourist inquiries, ie the average cost of a water taxi and they just don’t (I asked four people and they all shrugged and said they’d never known yet it’s a tourist hotel where ppl use these every day. I needed a negotiating starting point that was it) - it is insanely perplexing. Was put in new movenpick and while mezze restaurant was good food with good value the international buffet was not good and cost 50 USD a person which is outrageous. I regret doing it. I don’t know how you justify that. They couldn’t mail postcards for me or didn’t understand what I was asking despite me having the stamps and cards all ready to go - just drop them in the mail! And the rooms were rather meh. I stayed at Marriott Mena in Giza and Hilton in Luxor and those were standout first class service for the same or less price. I wouldn’t stay again for the price per value.
