"Was a bit confusing getting to the location at first but we found our way. The size was perfect for our stay. Didn’t need anything big. The floor boards between the rooms was noisy so it was hard getting to the restroom quietly and not waking anyone. It was quiet, except when students came but that was when we were about to leave for the day. Shower was spacious and clean and hot. We really appreciated the tea and breakfast option. "

"The Grooms Cottage was a rustic wonderful stay. It is in the country but really not far from shops. Having only 1 bathroom was a little difficult in the morning with 5 adults but they are working on an upstairs one, it just wasn't ready for our stay. "The castle itself was unavailable to tour, but it was a stunning piece of architecture and added so much to the ambience of the property. We stayed in a lovely stone cottage, called "Rose Cottage", which was one of several attached to each other. Very quaint. The golf course was beautiful as well."

"This property is magical! From the moment we drove up, we were in awe! We love the property’s Hailey and everything it has to offer. My husband and I had dinner at Preston’s and WOOOOOW!!!!! The steak was by far the best I’ve ever had, and I am a foodie! Everything was cooked to perfection! We also went to the spa, and it was the best and much needed r&r my husband and I could ask for! I can’t wait for us to return."

"The location is marvellous. A local walk was identified, this passed local landmarks and was its own reward after a long drive. The rooms are great, however dining is limited and carries pricing fitting the calibre of resort. The staff are friendly, the surrounding a real treat."

Food really bad

"The hotel was very warm throughout it was hard to sleep. The bed was done and the mattress leaned to one side. The food was really bad, we had to send it back. Ordered veg curry and they brought chicken, they changed it and all I got was a watery curry sauce full of onions and the rice was clumped together. The restaurant manager Shona was very attentive though I have to say. The pool and gym were nice and the cocktail bar was very good and the two Greek bar staff were super. The bar was quite dirty and dusty everywhere. "
