Downtown Athens hotel

The hotel was fine for our one night stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean, bathroom small but ok. Breakfast was included, simple but nice. Overall an ok and fairly priced hotel for that area of Athens.

The hotel was close to the station about two minutes away there is a lot of restaurants and shops around the area very safety and very easy to travel from or to the airport. The breakfast was good buffet breakfast. The only things I didn’t like the room were I was sleeping there is a noise coming from the window because of the air condition engineer machine was installed there and the room was very small.

Excellent place to stay. The room (702) was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The free breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. A walking distance to the major points of interest. Highly recommended.

Highly Recommended

The hotel is a walking distance (15-45 min. away) from all major points of interest, and a few steps away from Omonia metro station. My room (601) was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast included was tasty and plentiful. The staff was friendly, polite and professional. Overall, the hotel is probably the best value-proposition in the Omonia area, and an excellent accommodation choice when in Athens. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel

Nicely located hotel withing easy walking distance of the metro with very friendly and obliging staff. I would definitely stay here again if in Athens. Every request was handled professionally and promptly. Stairs at the entrance would make disabled access very difficult, and hey should consider installing a ramp.

Great value for money. Clean, spacious enough for a short stay. Breakfast was good, decent variety for a continental breakfast. Service was outstanding both at check in and check out. We were worried about the area from other reviews but actually found it quiet and relatively safe, even returning to the hotel from bars after midnight, though you obviously have to keep your wits about you. Hotel felt secure too, reception staff tend to the doors during evening hours, and confirm whether you are a guest, to avoid strangers wandering in.

This is a great hotel with great staff, very helpful and friendly. I had a good time. However, It is located in a part of Athens that is not very clean, or safe. one of the nights not 50 meters away from the hotel, I was chased by a gang of goons because it is isolated, dark, and unsafe, I must also note that the room and the bathrooms are tiny. The shower stall is less than 1.5‘ x 1.5‘. The elevator is about the same size. The thermostat is kept locked, and the guest has no control other than to call the reception each time they are hot or cold.

The staffs are very kind and reliable. Hotel itself is very clean and neat and they always keep the rooms clean. The location is very close to the metro station. Because of the structure,I could hear the voice of other people speaking on the other floor’s hallway. Around Omonia station, the traffic is very heavy and many people including staffs at the stalls smoke, so air was terrible. But nobody can help it. On Sunday, with fewer cars, I felt much better about air.

Nice sized room. Breakfast was included with some decent choices on offer. Easy to get to( get metro line from the airport to syntagma square then metro to Omonia. Special thanks to the man who worked on the desk in the evening (sorry I don’t have the name but he was tall with black hair) he was very friendly and helpful. Only suggestion for the hotel would be to use shampoo/shower gel dispensers in the bathroom, instead of using those small shampoo bottles that would run out very quickly.

Pros: The Athens Mirabello was very close to a lot of great sites, it was about a 10 minute walk to the Monastiraki and 30 minutes to the Acropolis. The room was clean and met my needs. There is a free breakfast in the mornings. Cons: There is no air conditioning so it gets quite hot in the room. I stayed on the top floor, and there was a lot of very loud noises coming from what I think was the control room for the elevators. Because of its location on a side street, none of the tours I went on would pick up from this hotel. The surrounding area is a bit dodgy, with a large abandoned building directly behind the hotel. I was warned not to venture around at dark because of this.

Front desk staff was impatient with questions we had. They did us a 'favor' by letting us "check in early" at 2pm, however my reservation said check in was at 1pm? They did let us store our luggage while we went to sight see. Sometimes friendly, but very brush offish, almost rude at times. Breakfast was delightful, with a nice variety of selections to choose from. The room was clean and quaint, but the beds were HORRIBLY hard and uncomfortable. It actually felt like sleeping on the box spring instead of a mattress.
