Overall a good stay. AC was not working well at all. Smaller bedroom was a furnace. Luckily the larger bedroom had a window unit to keep it very cool.

First, let me say that this place is in a great neighborhood, but the dog downstairs whines all night. The place was not clean in the slightest; walls, bathrooms, living room and the kitchen clearly needed a deep cleaning. The oven was not functional, and the microwave was missing the light inside. We had to reclean every bathroom, and one of the bedrooms was missing a window unit. Overall the cleanliness of this stay was a major issue.

Good for a College student not for family.
Upon arrival I saw what I thought would be a back patio, but discovered it is a back apartment. That made since with the vehicle parked up front. Inside we noticed the decor did not match the advertised picture. Different dining room table and the roach on the wall was not pictured. The downstairs toilet was modern size and almost as clean as a hotel. The master bedroom upstairs was almost queen sized bed but seemed smaller. The adjacent bathroom had a small outdated toilet with many stains under its seat. The sink needed to be plugged as too many gnats were coming out. The base boards have been ignored for too long as they had dust and hairs. I feel that the $40 cleaning fee VRBO charged, (on top of other fees) that this should be checked upon. 2 towels is all we had, so don’t let your spouse use yours as a walk way. No small ones to scrub with, which may have been good considering the towels and sheets provided were well worn. Don’t be a light sleeper as your young neighbors come in at 2:30am and again at 4am. Which they were quite but the car lights shine in as they enter the uphill driveway. On the plus side you have a close parking , no crime on our stay. With the location being ideal. The bedrooms have window units additional to the central air. Which is great for white noise and coolness in the room.

VRBO Terrible Customer Service
Property already occupied. VRBO when we contacted them non helpful. Spent 5 hours total speaking to 5 reps to find a place for us. Host blamed VRBO, VRBO blamed host. Host tried to helpus once we finally talked to her and got us her non VRBO space. We expect full compensation from VRBO - not the host. We will never use VRBO again.

Steep Fees
I normally don't complain about the fees, but I feel like it was used as a tool to upcharge the the purchase total. This is, of course, based on the total esthetics of the property. Other than that, it was okay.
