The Line is a quirky hotel that is fun, but needs a good updating. The carpets and furniture are worn. The furniture in the seating area in our room (which the hotel upgraded us to) wasn't comfortable to lounge and watch TV, so we stayed on the bed which is barely off the floor. The location of the hotel is great though!

This hotel has great views of the Town Lake and is walkable to many great restaurants. One of the best locations in Austin. Downstairs hosts Alfred’s which is one of the best coffee shops you can find as well as great Tacos at Veracruz. Also, P6 their bar has a great balcony with good drinks, bites & views. Hard to beat this hotel for all it offers couples & families. For families, the rooms maybe a tad small and the other detraction was a slightly damp smell in the hall on my floor (probably AC related).

The hotel is dated but clean. We had Room 302 which was the worst location, streetside at a busy red light. The noise was unbearable! The location is the very last room to get hot water. We had to let the water run for at least 10 minutes (very wasteful). The shower leaked onto the entire bathroom floor, creating a slip hazard. The beds are tooo low, basically on the floor (too hard for mature adults to get up and out).
