"We were treated for a 1 night stay as a gift so we decided to add on 1 more night good decision the staff are so helpful friendly and cant do enough for you nothing is too much bother the food is homecooked well presented and delicious the woolly sheep is a quirky old building with lots of character a fabulous covered outdoor area which will be amazing in the better weather as the roof goes back to make it an open top area, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a lovely modern style and colours kingsize comfortable bed for a good nights sleep situated in the charming village of Skipton with lots of historical sites and places of interest highly recommended credit were credit is due we will be back....."

"Excellent Period property. As an older building we were unsure what to expect but it’s immaculate throughout. Staff were incredibly friendly and we were delighted to be checked in 3 hours prior to the arranged time. Couldn’t be more conveniently located a minute walk from the castle and the Main Street where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. They don’t have onsite parking but there is a very safe pay and display car park 3 minutes walk away which was only £14 for 24 hours. That’s much cheaper than any other city hotel I’ve ever been to. We will be back. We really enjoyed our stay and the city. "

" We booked the Pines for 3 nights and we were both pleasantly surprised, it's a gem. The lodges are set around a tranquil lake and are easily accessible from the M6. The lodge was very clean and very well equipped, comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels and central heating. The staff were really friendly and informative. The bar area is relaxing and inviting, I cannot really comment on the quality of the food at the restaurant as the lodges are geared for self catering with extensive equipment, such as, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, everything you need is provided...so we didn't eat in the restaurant but did notice the menu prices seemed expensive. Obviously been so close to major roads we expected some noise from traffic, but it was minimal and the lodges are double glazed. We really enjoyed our stay😊 I'd definitely recommend giving the Pines a visit."
