"This Best Western has the most comfortable beds and pillows! I wish I could have brought the bed and pillows home. Excellent customer service from the general manager. "
"Beautiful rooms and entryway. Very safe with so much charm. They are very accommodating in regards to checking in. I’m really enjoying my stay. Will definitely be back. "
"This was an excellent stay, owners and staff very nice and accommodating, breakfast was wonderful, very tasty. Fire pit including S’mores and wine were offered to wind down at the end of the day. Great relaxing outside seating all around the porch as well. Rooms were thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. "
"Was located in a very historical town, everything within walking distance, lots to see and do. Home very well maintained and staff very friendly and accommodating. "
"It's a beautiful home with gorgeous antique furniture and particular attention detail. Very convenient parking & within walking distance to town, if one wanted to walk & weather permitted. The breakfast & coffee were delicious!"
"The breakfast was excellent, drinks and popcorn were a welcomed site on our arrival, the comfort of our bed was fabulous, and I loved the corner windows. Probably the only thing that could have made our stay a little better would have been an electrical outlet in the bathroom. Otherwise, we hope to return some day. Thank you David for being such a great host."
"Very friendly staff, easy check-in. Limited parking area, but they have an agreement with the Walgreen’s across the street to allow trucks with trailers to use their back lot."
"As if it wasn't expensive enough for the 2 night stay, they impose a $100 mandatory deposit because they (hotel manager or owner) chose to overspend for new towels ($25+). That is exorbatant for some regular towels that could have been bought at Walmart cheaper. The linens are a part of expenses by a hotel, so it's a bit much to require guests pay for them. Staff says its to cover "If they get too dirty", who says so if they do get dirty?? "
"The suite was very nice! We had two bedrooms because I was staying with someone who had a baby and I did not hear the baby at all during the night. Would definitely stay again!"

"We only stayed one night, but such a nice place for little more than a hotel room would have cost. We'll probably be back again and stay longer if we can arrange the travel in warmer weather. The property is large and scenic so would love to have a couple days to explore and relax here."

Gorgeous Lakefront Lodge on 170 Acres with 6 Bedrooms
5/5 Excellent
Lake O the Pines
""Selah" means to "stop and listen". The property is well-named...simply wonderful. We enjoyed lake views & walks amongst the deer. The home is just as advertised. The rooms are spacious, each with its own bathroom. The floorplan is conducive to multifamily/multi-ages. We had several dads and college fishermen and I never heard their early a.m. departures. The main-floor bunkroom was convenient for the team boys. We didn't utilize any of the fun stuff--there is a game room, a kids' play room and lake fun with floats and toys. The house clearly was set up for all ages of fun and respite. As shared, it was all fishing for us. The driveway housed several boats and offered ample room to maneuver. The well-stocked kitchen and laundry room fridge was convenient for me to keep everyone fed. There aren't many amenities close by but I suspect that anyone selecting this property is seeking peace and privacy. Longview is about 30 minutes away & there's a Costco right off the interstate from Dallas. The 2 refrigerators housed breakfast, lunch and dinner for 7 days for 9 people! There's a fabulous grill, too. And the table, oh, the table...just you wait! Gather all!Communication with the owner, Jay, was speedy and pleasant. Someone is nearby to help with any issues--not that there was anything wrong with the house, but we did have a water spicket mishap and inclement weather while we were there. Jay helped us through it all.HIGHLY recommended. Selah"
