The location was excellent. The outside of the building within the rooms in it seemed a bit rundown, but the actual rooms were newly updated and very clean and spacious. There were lovely towels and a robe and slippers. The bed was very comfortable. There was a kettle with coffee and tea and shortbread cookies at the bedside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I was very impressed and highly recommend this hotel.

The whole set up was both welcoming and very professional. The Western House Hotel was the last stop on our 7-night stay and was the best of our experiences. I would highly recommend this property

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. The only thing I could fault, was didn’t get a very good nights sleep due to the noise in the room, think it was down to the wind, felt like I hadn’t been to bed all night!

A beautiful hotel in a lovely location, adjacent to the racecourse. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Scottish Breakfast was wonderfully cooked and beautifully presented. My only ‘complaint’ (if that’s what it is!) is that the portion presented to me may have been over generous! A wonderful experience.

Lovely stay

We’ve stayed here a few times over the years and it never disappoints and the staff are so welcoming, they are a credit to the hotel. It was a flying visit sadly, hopefully next time we can stay longer. We were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise.
