"The host is generous with extra food, but the place is not what we expected and did not have the washing machine listed as an amenity with VRBO. The listing now says coin operated laundry, but it's not on the property. Inside it's dark and smells musty. The floor is old and patched in the back hall and bathroom. It is clean, but it's so worn it doesn't feel clean. The kitchen has an arch about 5'7 inches high just in front of the stove and the only counter space. I'm 5'5 and it worked for me....

"What an amazing place. The room was wonderful, spacious, well-appointed. The service was friendly with lots of nice touches such as a delicious continental breakfast which is delivered to the room after you pick what is in it. Our room had an absolutely lovely patio as well. Very centrally located, right behind the cathedral in the Moorish neighborhood. Highly recommended. "

"The property was as listed and pleasant. Owner not very responsive to questions and never did explain how to get access to the house but when we arrived someone was there to meet us."

"A beautiful old convent where monks once stayed. Everything is beautifully appointed and the breakfast was a beautiful spread. The location is outside city center so call an uber to get around. Evora was a beautiful old city and our hotel balcony was a lovely view. "
