"I booked a hot tub weekend away for my husband and I to the Steadings and what a beautifully clean and comfortable cottage it was. The owners met us as we drove to the cottage to show us around. "What a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautiful, quiet setting near Stirling. We explored the jail and the castle. Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). This cottage is in a great location for touring the Edinburgh/Glasgow area."

It was a shame the dishwasher program didnt work, the fire alarm fell from the ceiling and the tv was too old to take any form of digital equipment, nor did the dvd function work. "The house was gorgeous and very comfortable. We did have to download an app to get a precise location which was unexpected, but easy enough to use. The beds were very comfortable and the location beautiful. If you are looking for a rural retreat in order to explore the beautiful scenery, it's a wonderful choice! The overall cleanliness wasn’t great; the bedding was not that clean as there were brown marks and pink stains on the duvet sheets, and the toilet had some marks from the last guests, I presume.
