Nearby Lake Wendouree, Ballarat Farmers Market, and Learmonth provide beautiful peaceful vistas and an opportunity for walking or cycling.
Sovereign Hill is a must-see when you come to visit Ballarat set in an open-museum style, it is a wonderful and vibrant experience that challenges the senses and offers hands-on activities.
This tiny house is a cozy 139-square-foot tiny home positioned alongside the tree line, facing southeast, offering picturesque views of the surrounding farmlands and neighboring properties.
All with easy access to water and power, split-air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower for your use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Generally, the surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful, but there may be occasional noise from boisterous dogs. For light sleepers, we recommend bringing earplugs for a well-rested stay.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house, and visit the chicken pens and cattle paddocks with prior permission from the host. The only restricted area is around the main house.

Ballarat Bliss is situated in the peaceful suburban town of Cardigan, just 12 minutes away from the nearest accommodation in Ballarat. It is a serene farm stay where you can experience the slow-paced country lifestyle by watching farmers do their daily chores such as managing their cattle and sheep, cutting hay, and more.
You can also enjoy the great outdoors by taking lovely walks around our land, up the road, or through the crops across the road from us. Additionally, there are walking and cycling trails located nearby.
Our local recommendations:
- Learmonth is 20 kilometers away from a beautiful lake access and great eateries.
- Lake Burrumbeet is only 5 kilometers away and is a great spot to sit and enjoy a picnic.
- Wendouree village is a shopping precinct located 8 kilometers away from our front gate.
- Lucas Plaza is only 3 kilometers away, where you can find groceries, medical, pharmacy, and eateries.
- Sovereign Hill is an open-air museum located in Golden Point. It offers a great experience where visitors can go into the gold mines and explore the area.
- The Ballarat Botanical Gardens is a striking greenhouse and fernery to explore. Lake Wendouree is butting up against the gardens and is the best place in town for a walk or cycle and time of the day or night.
- Ballarat Farmers Market is a vibrant marketplace showcasing a diverse array of locally grown produce, artisanal goods, and handmade crafts. Visitors can explore stalls offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, and more.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 12 mins drive from Ballarat
- 1 hr drive from the city, Bendigo
- 38 mins from the town, Daylesford
- 1 hr drive from the city Melbourne. All are reachable by 2WD
By public transport:
Guests can access great train services into Ballarat and from there can get a bus out to Lucas. Taxis and Ubers available from Lucas town centre to our property. Ballarat also has electric scooters for people to use to get around.
There is a train service to the rural cities of Ararat and Maryborough from Ballarat and bus services from Ballarat to local towns as well

- No unregistered guests or visitors allowed
- No smoking inside, except in designated areas
- Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone have good signals; others have weak signals
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Farm guidelines
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please be advised that we have electric fences on our property, which are all marked for safety purposes.
- We strictly recommend guests to avoid approaching our Blue Heeler, which is always secured in the house yard. But our Collie (Bo) and Groodle (Winnie) are friendly and would enjoy making acquaintances with guests.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
